The mid-week menu (all day, Monday to Thursday) is particularly good value at £9.95 for two courses, £11.90 for three. It offers quite a wide range of choices for starters and main courses. I enjoyed a meal there with a friend this evening. The white bait was crispy, served with lemon and mayonnaise dip. My friend was unable to finish the humus, though delicious, as there was a very generous portion, and the homemade bread was soft and tasty. We both opted for the chicken shish - chunks of marinated, grilled chicken with rice, a salad and a chilli salsa. It was very tasty. If you still have room for a dessert, the Baklava is certainly worth a taste - we both managed to squeeze in a portion (2 pieces and a scoop of ice cream).
The staff are welcoming, attentive and helpful, without being overbearing or intrusive and the décor is simple and uncluttered. Altogether a good reason to spend an evening in Orpington - and enjoy the Christmas lights as you walk from and to your car or transport home.
