 Buff Orpingtons
Orpington is a town which, until 1965, when it was swallowed up by the London Borough of Bromley, was in Orpington Urban District, an area including a number of surrounding smaller towns and villages.
The OUD Council purchased The Priory and Gardens in 1947 as a war memorial. The building is 14th century and Grade II* and the gardens are also Grade II listed. Bromley Council moved the museum from The Priory at the end of September 2015. The charitable trust, Orpington Priory Community Hub (OPCH), which was set up specifically to protect the future of the Priory, submitted a business plan to Bromley Council in May 2016. However, on 16 November 2016, it was announced that a 125 year lease had been awarded to V22, a company which specialises in offering artists' studio space. Read more..
