Churchill Theatre Reviews Back to Churchill home page
7 January 2012 - A disappointing evening. David Spinx, as the prince, played it as an alternative character which was refreshing and amusing, although rather reminiscent of Alexander Armstrong in pantomime some years ago. Unfortunately he did not have a strong singing voice. Sarah Lark was very pretty, with a lovely voice and bouncy personality - appearing as a doppleganger for the Disney Snow White. The real let-down was Patsy Kensit as the Wicked Queen. She lacked the strong presence needed for this role and spent most of the performance in an unnatural leaning back stance which was a feeble attempt at appearing dominating! Bring back Paul Michael Glaser as Captain Hook - the best Churchill pantomime of recent years - so good we saw it twice!
