The packed audience included film-makers who had travelled from as far North as Nuneaton and Sutton Coldfield. 25 films were shown during the five hour show, all made to the theme ‘Revolution’. This year, a Northern Club (Chesterfield Film Makers) took the first prize away from the South with a movie created using computer generated graphics that would make Doctor Who look to his laurels. Southern Clubs (Reading Film Makers and Surrey Borders Movie Makers) came second and third respectively in the competition.
All agreed that the standard of films this year was extremely high, making the competition a very close call. The judge for the final was the Editor of the IAC's Film & Movie Maker magazine (IAC - The film and Video Institute).
