Vandalism in Old Hill
28 July 2011
In recent weeks, there have been a number of residents whose cars have been targeted by youths. Parking their cars in Old Hill, whilst walking theirs dogs in High Elms, they have returned to
find their car windows have been smashed and items stolen. The timing of these outrages seems to be on weekdays between 4 and 6 pm and youths on bicycles have been seen in the area.
It is therefore adviseable to leave glove compartments open, to show there is nothing worth stealing in the car. Alternatively, avoid going to High Elms at this time!
N.B.The writer has often parked there without any cause for concern, but never at these times and usually at weekends.
